Joe Doe     more of Joe  Most of Joe's sculptures are small in size. In fact, with the exception of the priestess, all are heads. He has made three moumental heads in painted plaster, in addition one large black head in terracotta. The large works are not shown here.
The small works are monumental in appearance nevertheless. As sculptures are three-dimensional, they are shown as animated gifs. Did you ever see something like this? Observe and enjoy the different views! Joe says: I only once saw a sculpture in a museum mounted on a turntable. It was in a Picasso museum in Antibes or Nizza, France. I knew the monumental head of Marie-Therèse well from photographs, but when turned, the head showed extremely diverse views I never would have imagined. Christoph Fischer     more of Christoph  Christoph is very much fascinated by the horse, but has made many other figures, too, of course. We'll concentrate here on horses and show a raven in addition.
The horse plays a vital role in human history. It was not until the dawn of the traditional role after World War II that this role was concentrated upon by Italian sculptor Marino Marini. Traditional sculpture has used the horse as a means to enhance the power of man. Marini shows both man and horse as vulnerable creatures dependent on each others. Fischer is different.
